Inquisitive requests beg a compact account of humanitaritan moments so intense, so beautiful, so joyful, so mesmerizing… so bold, so challenging. Usual vowels or verbs peppered with corresponding facial expressions are not adequate or plentiful enough to pay homage to a life changing event.
Five Vision Honduras Team members returned to Minnesota on Saturday early morning with thirteen remaining for 10 more days. The work is mind-blowing and gratifying when a perfect pair of donated eye glasses are placed on a nose and line becomes a smile. A Bible is read.
Team members will all hold recollections of their own moments of gazes and faces. Jesus’ mother, Mary, kept her experiences and pondered them in her heart (Luke 2:19). For a time, at least until I can conjure up sufficient language, so will I.
